What titers do travel nurses need?
Most healthcare assignments require proof of immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR), varicella (chickenpox), and hepatitis B — shown by a titer (a blood test) or documented vaccination. Many also require Tdap, an annual flu shot, and TB screening. The exact list comes from the placement facility and CDC's vaccination guidance for health care personnel.
A titer is a simple blood draw; if it comes back non-immune, you may need a vaccine or booster and sometimes a repeat titer, which adds time — so start early in your onboarding window.
