Background
Safe + Sound Week is run each August by OSHA together with NIOSH, the National Safety Council, and other partners to encourage proactive workplace safety and health programs built on management leadership, worker participation, and hazard identification.
How to make the most of it
- Kick off or refresh a safety and health program with leadership visibly involved.
- Hold a short all-hands on hazard reporting and how concerns are addressed.
- Walk the floor with workers to spot and fix hazards together.
- Register your participation with OSHA to earn a certificate of recognition.
